The national rugby team of Georgia set off from Browns today for their first match in the Rugby Europe Championship. Having arrived earlier this week and returning to the Algarve on Saturday, the team has chosen Browns as their preparation base for their first match against Portugal in Lisbon as well as their second match against Spain, in Madrid.
Participating National squads are not only competing for the winning trophy of this championship but for a qualifying position to the 2023 World Cup. To secure their participation in France, Georgia must be one of the countries to guarantee the most points throughout this 2021-2022 championship.
We are delighted for the trust the Georgian National Team has placed in us to stay at Browns for their preparation in such a significant tournament. As has always been the case, because of our set up at Browns Sports Resort we are totally self-contained with independent villas, sporting, leisure and catering facilities all on-site, which in the current climate has shown to be an even greater benefit to our clients.
The whole team at Browns wishes Georgia a good start to this championship and success throughout!
"We are having good training conditions on this camp (...) where we have everything to prepare for the games. The climate is just perfect as well."
— Levan Maisashvili, Head Coach of the national rugby team of Georgia
